A LONG-SERVING trust and grants manager for Brighter Futures has been nominated for the Volunteer/Fundraiser of the Year award.
Judith Hanson, who has worked for the early intervention charity since 2018, has been nominated for the award by Sarah Nibbs, who describes her as the “mainstay of an essential Jersey charity” and “an amazing friend”.
According to her nominator, Ms Hanson helps bridge “a substantial funding gap”, explaining that the charity costs more than £1.1 million to run each year, and she is “instrumental” in achieving its fundraising goals.
Ms Nibbs said that Ms Hanson also organised several free of charge programmes including a Dads Club and a Summer Breakfast Club.
“Her amazing efforts mean that the charity can run its essential, free of charge courses and programmes, a Dads Club and a Summer Breakfast Club, to name a few highlights.
“Thank you Jude, for your energy, fundraising skills, tenacity and friendship which are all instrumental in helping families in Jersey to have brighter futures”, Ms Nibbs said.
