He is one of the first English QC to join a Jersey firm, as it emerges as a premier international offshore centre for litigation and disputes.
Joining Baker & Partners from the London office of international disputes and investigations law firm Kobre & Kim, James is an English barrister with extensive experience in international trusts, insolvency and commercial disputes in nearly every major offshore jurisdiction around the world. Earlier in his career, he served as the managing partner of Kobre & Kim’s Cayman office from 2012 to 2014, and was a member of prestigious commercial barristers’ chambers Serle Court in Lincoln’s Inn, London. Upon qualification as a Jersey Advocate, his addition will also represent a further extension of the firm’s courtroom experience in both Jersey and England and Wales.
