Tantivy plans £3 million fleet with an eye on cruise market

Tantivy Blue Coach executives have spent the last two years researching the coach market to choose a vehicle suitable for Jersey’s roads.

They visited a number of potential suppliers across Europe and finally settled on a 39-seat vehicle named the Karisma and built in Turkey by a subsidiary of coachbuilder BMC.

Tantivy plan to take delivery of the first coaches in April next year in time for the start of the tourist season. And they are hoping the new vehicles will help to pick up business from cruise ships as Jersey seeks to increase the number of vessels that visit the Island’s shores.
