GROWTH in air and sea passenger numbers continued throughout the summer amid efforts to bolster Jersey’s connectivity that included higher frequencies on “key services”.

Ports of Jersey documented that, between July and September, more than 472,000 passengers travelled through the Airport – a 4.2% increase compared to the same period last year.

And almost 200,000 passengers travelled through Jersey Harbour, with DFDS up 10% compared to the third quarter of 2025.

Ports has cited continued investment by airlines in the Island’s route network – supporting a schedule of up to 185 departing flights each week – among the factors behind the improved figures, which continued “positive momentum” seen in the first half of the year.

Ports head of connectivity Paul Holley said: “The third quarter is our busiest period of the year, and it’s encouraging to see sustained growth through both our air and sea gateways with visitors making the most of the great Jersey summer.”

He continued: “This was supported by higher frequencies on key services such as KLM’s Amsterdam route, alongside Loganair’s first full summer with routes to Bordeaux, East Midlands, Norwich and Paris added to its core network.”

The Airport offered direct connectivity to 41 destinations across the UK and Europe.

Mr Holley added that maintaining strong connectivity “is vital to our island’s economy and community”.

“We truly value the partnerships we continue to develop with our airline and ferry partners and appreciate their continued support in delivering these services throughout the summer season.”
