THE Island’s largest music school is inviting Islanders to explore its new home at Château Vermont today.
The School of Popular Music is holding an open house at its new St Saviour premises from noon until 4pm – giving prospective students, families and other visitors the opportunity to tour the facilities and grounds and meet tutors.
The purpose-built campus brings the school’s lessons, rehearsals and recording facilities together under one roof. It includes rehearsal spaces, dedicated teaching rooms, a commercial-grade recording studio and a Mac suite for music production.
Visitors can also try guitar, drums, vocals or piano during a free trial lesson. Beginners are welcome and instruments will be provided.
Trial lessons can be booked in advance through the school’s website, while those who simply want to look around can attend without an appointment.
The open house is available to everyone, whether or not they are already part of the School of Popular Music community.
