THE CAFÉ at Springfield Sports Facility is set to remain under its current operator after the Infrastructure Minister approved a new nine-year lease.
New Dawn Catering Ltd, which has run the café since January 2004, has been granted a new lease for the ground-floor catering facility.
The café serves both users of the sports centre and members of the surrounding community.
The existing lease was due to expire in September next year, with a report accompanying the ministerial decision saying the long-established business remains an “important and well-used community amenity”.
