A SELL-OUT bingo night held at the Radisson Blu hotel on Saturday raised £3,805 for Jersey’s Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Islanders turned out in force to support the charity, with 230 tickets sold and 33 raffle prizes donated by the local community.

Every penny raised will stay in Jersey to support those with the condition, as well as their families.

The Bingo & Raffle Night was the second of its kind and organised in memory of Andrew Le Sech, the late husband of organiser Louise Le Sech.

Speaking to the JEP, Louise said the event raised an “incredible amount” for Islanders navigating MND.

“Both my daughters Lauren Poingdestre and Megan Cornish and I were totally blown away by the generosity of both businesses and individuals”, she added.

The Radisson, she said, proved to be a “fantastic location” for a charity event who she hopes will become a yearly occurrence.

“It was such a success, we will be doing it all over again next year in March”, Louise added.
