AN AC Mauger employee who spent over three decades with the company has been awarded more than £25,000 after the collapsed construction firm ceased trading last summer.
Paul John Le Gallais, who worked as a driver for almost 33 years, brought claims for redundancy pay, notice pay, holiday pay and unpaid wages after the business ceased trading.
The Style Group – including Style Windows, Style Homes, Style Interiors and long-standing construction firm AC Mauger – entered liquidation in August 2025.
Mr Le Gallais submitted his claim to the tribunal in December last year. The joint liquidators indicated that they did not intend to defend the proceedings.
The former later withdrew a claim for unfair dismissal and limited his notice-pay claim to the short period before he secured alternative employment five days later.
Judgment was handed down in default, with the tribunal awarding Mr Le Gallais a total of £22,521 in statutory redundancy pay, alongside £2,392.92 in unpaid holiday pay, £422.28 in unpaid wages, and £281.52 for lack of notice.
It brings the total owed to former staff members of the collapsed construction group to around £600,000.
However, as AC Mauger is in liquidation, it is unclear whether Mr Le Gallais – or any of his former colleagues – will recover the amount awarded by the tribunal.
