THOSE who have gone through Jersey’s family courts are being asked to share their experiences, particularly where allegations of domestic abuse are involved.
The survey forms part of a review into the family court system led by Hannah Markham KC, who said the voices of those affected would be “vital to the learning and review process”, without which there would be “a gap” in her insight.
It includes questions on contact arrangements, lawyers, the voice of the child, and how professionals understand domestic abuse. Anyone over 18 can take part, whether they were adults or children during proceedings.
The survey is open until 17 May and answers will not affect decisions made in individual cases. It is available at survey.gov.je/s/EA7NZ5.
