THE Constable of St Ouen will seek a second term of office.

Richard Honeycombe was elected unopposed as a first-time candidate in 2022. He is a former St Ouen chef de police and parish roads inspector.

During the current term of office, Mr Honeycombe has been a member of the Planning Committee and previously served on the Public Accounts Committee.

Announcing his candidacy, he said: “On 22 June 20022, I had the privilege of being elected as Constable of St Ouen by our electors. Having fulfilled various roles over many years as a member of the Honorary Police, when I was approached by members of both the municipality and the wider public to stand, I couldn’t say no.

“Now, four years having passed, the time has come to throw my hat in the ring once again and declare my intention to stand for re-election and serve the parish of St Ouen as its Constable for a further term.

“I have so much more that I wish to do for the parish, and there are many projects that I want to see come to fruition. I will, of course, be detailing those in my manifesto at the appropriate time.

“I would like to thank all the parishioners that have provided so much support over the past four years.”
