BUSES have been involved in 20 collisions over the past two years, new data has revealed.

The figures were published in response to a freedom-of-information request asking how many buses have been involved in road traffic collisions in 2024 and 2025.

The States police confirmed that a total of 20 road traffic collisions involving a bus were recorded across the two years, but no details about the incidents were provided.

Several crashes involving buses on the Island have made headlines during this time.

At the beginning of last year, a double-decker bus crashed into the building above the Liberation Station on 3 February 2025.

The Esplanade between Castle Street and Conway Street was closed after the incident at around 6.30am.

It was the third such incident in the past decade, with similar accidents taking place in July 2015 and March 2019.

A motorist was taken to hospital at the end of last year, after a vehicle collided with a passenger bus on Bagatelle Road on 21 December 2025.

Bus operator LibertyBus launched an investigation into the collision, with “early” indications showing that the bus was struck by an oncoming car.

LibertyBus and the Infrastructure Minister were contacted for comment on the latest figures, but neither responded.
