A CORN snake at the animal shelter has been searching for a new home for almost a year.

Named JD Scalinger, the snake has been with the JSPCA for over 300 days and is still looking for his “forever home”.

Sharing the snake’s milestone stay at the shelter earlier this week to find a new owner, the animal charity said corn snakes are “great beginner snakes” and JD Scalinger is a “prime example”.

The JSPCA described the snake – which is now fully grown – as active and can be regularly seen exploring his vivarium.

“He is great to handle,” the charity added.

If you know someone who may be interested in adopting JD Scalinger, they can contact the JSPCA through their website: info@jspca.org.je
