THE Chamber of Commerce has appointed a new vice-president.
Darren Scott, who is currently the chief executive of Ferryspeed, will be taking on the role at Chamber from January 2026.
Mr Scott’s previous roles include chief of staff at Ports of Jersey, director of partnerships at with the government and director of Economic Development, Tourism, Sport and Culture.
The vice-president position is currently held on an interim-basis by past-president Eliot Lincoln- who stepped in to the role in May.
Commenting on the appointment, Chamber president Lee Madden said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Darren as vice-president of the Jersey Chamber of Commerce. He brings vast experience across many areas of the Jersey economy, from transport and infrastructure to tourism and economic development, alongside a deep understanding of how government and scrutiny operate on the Island.
“That blend of commercial insight and political experience will be invaluable as we continue to represent our members and engage constructively on the key issues facing Jersey as we look ahead to 2026 and beyond.”
