THE organisers of the Battle of Flowers are seeking private sponsorship after pledging to keep the event free moving forward.

The event ran into financial difficulties meaning it was almost cancelled this year.

And new board was put in place to save the event and a reduced Battle was staged running through the centre of town, which proved popular with Islanders.

Organisers have said want the Battle of return to Victoria Avenue in 2026, while ensuring it remains a free event.

Chris Parlett, sponsorship lead for the Battle of Flowers, said: “The Battle has always been about community, Islanders coming together to create something truly special. We’re looking for partners who share that spirit, who see sponsorship not just as advertising, but as an investment in Jersey’s people, creativity, and cultural heritage.”

In addition to sponsorship, the Battle of Flowers is also encouraging businesses to get their teams involved as volunteers, from float building to event logistics and sustainability projects.

“Our volunteers are the heart of the Battle,” Mr Parlett added. “We’d love to see local companies take part, not only as sponsors, but as teams who get involved and make a difference together.”
