KEEN skaters and curling teams will be able to take to the ice once more later this month with the opening of the annual rink on the Weighbridge.

On Saturday 25 October, Jersey On Ice will return for its third festive season.

The 30m by 30m rink will be open Wednesday to Sunday until Sunday 11 January, with daily sessions taking place during the October half-term and Christmas school holidays (27–31 October and 22 December–4 January).

The rink will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Skating sessions will start from 9.30am until 7.45pm each day. Late skate sessions will also take place from 8pm to 9pm on Friday and Saturday nights.

And Jersey Development Company has confirmed that a new a 30-day membership which offers unlimited skating will be available this year.

Private hire of the rink will also be possible for large groups of up to 50 people from 5 November.

Curling teams will also be able to book sessions this year. A dedicated lane will be bookable from opening day.
