POLICE are appealing for information after a cyclist was taken to hospital following a road collision which happened near the Steam Clock yesterday morning.

The incident took place near the New North Quay at approximately 11.50am and involved one vehicle, according to police.

The collision resulted in injuries requiring hospitalisation and a male has since been arrested as a result.

The force is appealing for members of the public to come forward who may have witnessed the incident to help further the investigation.

It is believed there was “at least” one other cyclist in the area and other vehicles driving past at the time, police added.
