AN Islander died in an accidental house fire in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Emergency services responded to the incident at Seaton Place at around 12.30am.

In a statement, the States of Jersey Police said: “Tragically, one person has died as a result of the incident and our thoughts are with their family and loved ones.

An investigation into the circumstances of the blaze was conducted and the Fire Service has confirmed that there is “nothing to indicate anything other than accidental fire”.
