A NEW children’s soft play area is due to open at the Waterfront by “late summer” at the site of a former arcade and nightclub.
The Jersey Development Company said refurbishment work at the former Arcadia and WYSIWYG premises has been completed, with installation of the new play equipment currently under way.
The new facility will replace the existing play area at Fort Regent, which is to close at the end of the year for maintenance and regeneration work.
Infrastructure Minister Andy Jehan confirmed last week that the government would consult Islanders on whether the soft play area should remain at the Waterfront permanently or return to Fort Regent once the redevelopment is complete.
JDC is inviting expressions of interest from local businesses and operators interested in running the new facility.
A formal tender process will follow, and interested parties are encouraged to contact JDC via email at enquiries@jerseydevelopment.je
