UKTV brought together actors John Nettles and Damien Molony in an interview about Bergerac

THE lead actor in the reimagined Bergerac TV series recently came face-to-face with the star of the original show for a filmed interview that is now available to watch online.

Damien Molony, who plays Jim Bergerac in the new six-episode series launching later this week, sat down with John Nettles – who starred as the iconic detective in the original drama that ran on the BBC between 1981 and 1991.

UKTV, which commissioned the reimagined series due to launch on U and U&DRAMA on 27 February, has produced a filmed interview with the pair which can be viewed for free on U.

In the ten-minute-long interview, titled Bergerac meets Bergerac, Mr Molony and Mr Nettles talk about their experiences in the titular role – including their time in Jersey and behind the wheel of the Triumph Roadster – and discuss what fans of the original can expect in the reboot of the series.
