THE States police are hoping to reunite an Islander with their golden ring after it lay forgotten in a drawer for 50 years.

The ring – engraved with the initials “G. P” and “V. H” – was first found after a Shukokai Karate Club session in the De La Salle school gym in 1971.

The finder of the ring could not locate the owner at the time, and placed the ring in a drawer “for safekeeping”. The ring was then forgotten about until now.

The police are hoping that G. P or V. H may come forward to claim their gold ring.

If you think this ring could belong to a family member or a friend, you can get in touch with the States of Jersey Police on hello@jersey.police.je or 612 612.
