Man accused of Morrisons stabbing due to appear in Jersey's Royal Court

A MAN was due to appear in court today in connection with an alleged stabbing in a Morrisons shop.

Trevor Robert John Green faces charges of attempted murder and grave and criminal assault after a worker in the Castle Quay branch of the supermarket chain was allegedly stabbed multiple times on the afternoon of Saturday 18 November.

The 55-year-old first appeared in the Magistrate’s Court two days after the incident, and was today due to appear for a brief hearing before a judge and Jurats in the Royal Court.

The 34-year-old alleged victim was initially treated in the General Hospital before being transferred to Southampton Hospital.

Mr Green is currently remanded in custody.
