TOWN’s annual street party, the Fête de St Helier, is due to return this weekend.

The event will see entertainment, a new history trail and the traditional pilgrimage to Elizabeth Castle.

It will take place across Parade Gardens, the Cenotaph, York Street, Charing Cross, Broad Street, Library Place and the Royal Square on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July.

A family fun zone and family stage have been added to the usual entertainment programme of funfair rides, local stalls, food, drink and live music.

Head of engagement and town centre manager Connor Burgher said: ‘I’m delighted that our flagship event will return for 2023 and is shaping up to be our biggest free event of the year.

‘This event will feature something for all the family and is going to be a real highlight of the summer season.’
