A MAN has appeared in the Magistrate’s Court accused of rape and three other sexual offences.
Michael John O’Brien (40) was charged with raping a woman, sexually touching her without consent and forcing her to perform a sex act.
The alleged offences were said to have taken place last year.
Magistrate Bridget Shaw ruled that the case was too serious for her court to deal with and it should be heard by the Royal Court.
Mr O’Brien was released on bail and is due to appear in the higher court on 8 November.
