DANIEL LEE is set to appear in his second consecutive Commonwealth Games all-around final on Sunday – having waited the best part of 12 hours for confirmation.
The Jersey athlete carded a total score of 78.050 on Friday morning but he then had to sit tight for the rest of the day to establish whether he had progressed, as the rest of the field took their turn in two additional qualifying pools.
The good news arrived after gymnasts from England, Scotland and Wales had completed their routines, leaving him as the tenth best qualifier.
