ONE of the original cast members of The Real Housewives of Jersey has revealed that she is leaving the show after things got ‘too personal’ for her.
Tessa Hartmann said she would not be returning for a third season of the TV programme, which follows the lives of seven Jersey women and first aired on ITVBe and ITVHub in December 2020.
Mrs Hartmann is the founder of the Jersey Style Awards and has four children, one of whom is singer Tallia Storm.

She said: ‘I just decided that it was time to move on; it was all a bit too much for me.
‘It’s a shame it go so bitter and it’s no one’s fault, it just got way too personal for me and so I told them I would not be returning for third season.
‘I want to make it clear that I am very grateful to ITV and the production crew. I think it was amazing for Jersey, it was a brilliant experience and I don’t regret being a part of it.’
She added: ‘With the cast the way that it is at the moment, it’s just not for me but I really do wish them all the best and I am sure that it will go from strength to strength.’
Mrs Hartmann was part of the show’s original line-up, alongside Ashley Cairney, Kate Taylor, Margaret Thompson, Mia Ledbury, Jane Rayner and Hedi Green. The second season saw two new members, Sarha Courtnay and Karen Loderick-Peace, take the places of Mrs Rayner and Mrs Green.
Although the programme produced mixed feedback, it also generated increased interest in the Island, with Visit Jersey reporting a spike in online searches after it was broadcast.
Earlier this year, the organisation’s head of product and marketing, Meryl Laisney, said the ITV show could ‘get on the radar’ of audiences who may not previously have considered visiting the Island.
