The Children, Education and Home Affairs Panel has asked local research agency 4insight to run the sessions, which will be used to explore the views of parents, children and young people up to the age of 25 on a variety of issues. These will include the impact of parents and carers working from home and how their needs were addressed by the government at different stages of the pandemic.
Deputy Louise Doublet, vice-chairwoman of the panel, said she would ‘really like to hear’ children’s views on the impact of the past year, and encouraged parents and infants to get involved with the focus groups.
‘We encourage as many people as possible to get in touch with 4insight to take part in this important piece of work and have their views heard,’ she said.
‘We would also like to remind parents and their children that they can get in touch in writing or in person by contacting the panel directly.’
Those wishing to share their views can register their interest by emailing xav@4insight.info or info@4insight.info or by calling 859300.
Islanders are also being encouraged to send in submissions about the topic before 30 April by emailing scrutiny@gov.je.
