16 firefighters tackle St Helier blaze

FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at a St Helier home on Saturday morning.

The fire started at around 2am with initial reports that people could be trapped inside.

By the time the fire crew arrived everyone had managed to get out of the property and one member of the family was attempting to put the fire out.

A total of 16 firefighters attended the incident. The occupants were treated at the scene by paramedics. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
