Covid-19: Jersey now has no known active cases

News | Published:

JERSEY has no known active cases of Covid-19 for the first time since before the lockdown, it was revealed today.

Figures show that the two people who recently tested positive have now been declared free of the virus. A total of 14,675 people in Jersey have tested negative, with a further 319 confirmed positive. There are 415 results pending.

Jersey recorded its first case of Covid-19 on 10 March, when an Islander who had recently returned from northern Italy tested positive.

The first death occurred on 26 March, and Jersey went into lockdown four days later.

Guernsey, meanwhile, has been Covid-free since the end of April.
