Man suffers suspected broken nose after being repeatedly punched in town

The 47-year-old, who was wearing a blue blazer, was pushed against the window of Vision Express in Queen Street before being punched repeatedly in the face by a short, stocky man in a burgundy checked shirt, according to the States police.

A friend of the victim got involved and was also punched to the head and face by associates of the initial assailant.

Passers-by then came to the assistance of the injured men. The States police say that all those involved are believed to have been in the Up and Down Bar immediately before the incident.

Anyone with information about the assault, which happened at about 10pm on Saturday 5 October, is being asked to phone the States police on 612612 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
