Paraglider taken to Hospital after St Ouen's Bay accident

A 37-YEAR-old man remains in hospital today after he suffered a broken back following a paragliding accident in St Ouen's Bay.

Paramedics were called to the scene on cliffs near La Pulente at about 5.17pm on Tuesday.

The Ambulance Service informed the Fire and Rescue Service which assisted with the operation.

The casualty, an emergency spokesman said, was taken to the Hospital via ambulance about 6.19pm.

Cliffs above La Pulente, on the south side of St Ouen's Bay, is one of the main launching and landing sites for the extreme sport in Jersey.
