The child was taken to the Emergency Department at about 1pm on Tuesday with head injuries after being struck by a grey Porsche. It is believed the injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
The police were called to the scene at about 12.36pm and closed the road between the FB Fields and La Blinerie.
The JEP understands that the boy and his family were outside the entrance to the gardens at Samarès Manor when the incident happened.
