‘Trump’ ecstasy tablets warning

Thousands of tablets of the Class A drug depicting the US leader were recently seized in Germany and were of a ‘dangerously high’ potency. Guernsey police and Border Agency officers have now issued a warning about the bright-orange tablets amid fears the pills may be in the Island.

A source in Jersey told the JEP that drug trends that appear in the UK or Guernsey tend to migrate to the Island ‘within a few weeks’ and vice-versa. On one side the tablets show Donald Trump’s face, while the President’s surname is written on the reverse.

Rebecca Falla, senior investigation officer for Guernsey’s Border Agency, said: ‘We would strongly advise members of the public not to take these tablets. It is virtually impossible for people to know what has been used to make pills like this, and people can’t predict how they will react. People taking the drug are putting themselves at risk, and those risks are increased when they are mixed with alcohol. Our message to Islanders is it’s simply not worth it.’
