The sports and social club is the first non-parish float-building team to achieve the feat – equalling Grouville’s efforts in the 1960s.

Ghost Ship, conceived by the clubs veteran designer, Steve Bouchard, was their 15th Prix dHonneur-winning entry, and was chosen as the stand-out float from a selection of 27 floral exhibits taking part in yesterdays parade, which organisers said was a near sell-out.
Spectators at this year’s carnival – which is the Island’s biggest tourism event of the summer – enjoyed blue skies, and, despite some windy conditions, many claimed it was the best parade they had seen in a number of years.
The Moonlight Parade takes place on Victoria Avenue from 9 pm on Friday.
