Bailiff William Bailhache on Friday asked the Solicitor General to consider reviewing Tanguy’s licence after the court jailed personal trainer Daniel Kirkpatrick for nine months following an attack on Christmas Eve which resulted in his victim being hospitalised.

The 24-year-old’s sentencing comes less than a month after James John Dean Cameron was given a 15-month prison sentence after breaking a stranger’s nose in the club.

Chris Tanguy, owner of the Mulcaster Street venue, said that he considered himself a ‘good licensee’ who took security seriously and added that it was ‘unfortunate’ the two incidents had happened in quick succession.
