James Bailey committed suicide on 21 January, aged 22, and now his best friend and neighbour, Victoria College pupil Brett Coombs-Goodfellow, is organising the match to raise money for Mind Jersey and to raise awareness of the problems of mental illness, particularly among young men.
Former pupils of both schools are now getting together for the match between De La Salle College and Victoria College old boys at Springfield on Saturday 23 April, where there is a suggested donation of £5 for everyone who attends.
