The inquiry, which has heard evidence from alleged victims, care workers, including alleged abusers, as well as former and current politicians and civil servants, has now moved on to its penultimate phase, where it will hear recommendations about future child care provision in the Island.

Representatives of organisations including Barnardo’s, Les Amis and The Bridge are due to speak to the panel on Tuesday.

UK lawyer Alan Collins, who has represented people who were abused during their time in care, and the Probation Service are among those who are expected to make submissions on Wednesday.
