The New Raj restaurant in St Saviour’s Road has closed its doors after 32 years of business.
Owner Kass Malik (72) said personal health issues and difficulties in employing Asian staff due to strict employment regulations and housing laws were reasons behind the closure.
The Bangladesh-born businessman, who opened the restaurant on 19 March 1984, said that four members of staff have lost their jobs as a result of the closure.
