Since the calendar was given away free earlier this month with the Jersey Evening Post, Islanders have been buying copies on a daily basis from the newspaper’s offices at Five Oaks, with many being posted to friends and family outside the Island.
They are now also available at six farm shops and country stores – Classic Herd in St Peter, Midland Stores at Maufant, Gorey Fruit and Veg Shop, Holme-Grown in Grouville, Homefield in St Clement and Woodside in Trinity.
The calendars cost 60p and the shopkeepers are donating the takings a charity of their choice.
The calendars were produced as part of the JEP’s Keep Farming Campaign to raise awareness of the important role the agricultural industry plays in Island life.
Julia Quénault of Classic Herd said; ‘We are delighted that the JEP is showing its support for local farming and we are very happy to be supporting what is a very good campaign by helping to sell the calendar.
