Currently the road, classified as a public highway, is owned by the States and cannot be altered.
The club, which holds 16 meetings per year on the road, was given planning permission for the site in May 2011 but has not been able to develop it because the road remains a public highway.
Now parishioners in St John are being asked to vote on Constable Phil Rondel’s proposal to take the road into parish hands and rent it to the club for £500 per year.
The meeting will take place tonight in the parish hall at 7pm.
