Both economic circumstances and ‘bureaucracy’ are being blamed for the closure of the gardening part of the business at Holme Grown in Grouville.
However, it will reopen at Easter and become a seasonal operation from now onward, according to proprietor Stanley Payn.
‘To be honest, not many people do their gardening in January, February and March. It was both a question of the economic circumstances and people’s habits,’ he said.
