Bob Le Sueur (93) was named in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list this summer and travelled to Buckingham Palace to be formerly made a Member of the Order of the British Empire for his service to the community.

Mr Le Sueur risked death during the Occupation by helping to shelter an escaped Russian slave worker at the insurance offices where he worked. Speaking from his home in St Clement, Mr Le Sueur said it was ‘amazing’ to be surrounded at Buckingham Palace by so many dedicated individuals.
