The operator has announced it will be donating £5 from every return flight booked from Jersey and Guernsey between now and the end of December to the CIAS.
The air search organisation started its own appeal shortly after their plane, Lions’ Pride, crash landed at Devil’s Hole on the north coast while out looking for two stranded fishermen.
The plane has been dismantled and is to be transported to Scotland so that engineers can check whether the plane should be repaired or replaced.
Blue Islands’ donations will be made automatically as customers book a return flight from either Jersey or Guernsey.
Funds can also be donated through a ‘justgiving’ link on the airline’s booking confirmation page.
