Simon Crowcroft said a number of parents are parking on yellow lines, mounting pavements and blocking entrances at drop-off and pick-up times.
But the special permit, which the Constable allows schools and nurseries to hand out free of charge to parents, is only supposed to let them use a St Helier residents’ parking space for 15 minutes – if one is available.
And Mr Crowcroft said if drivers continue to abuse the system he may be forced to withdraw it all together as tenants in those areas will begin to lose their tolerance.
