LibertyBus, which took over Jersey’s bus service in January, has attracted a raft of complaints from Islanders about timetabling, delayed buses and route changes.

Asked in the States yesterday what was being done to fix an ‘unreliable service’, Deputy Kevin Lewis said that the firm, which is owned by UK-based CT Plus, had taken on another staff member.

He said: ‘I believe LibertyBus have actually employed somebody to handle all the consumer problems that have arisen.’

A comment was sought from CT Plus, but the company was unable to respond before deadline.
