LH Fitness, which is owned by Ben Harding and David Lund, has applied to change the Good Companions Club’s Crown Hall in Journeaux Street into a gymnasium.
Boxing promoter Dennis Hobson, who worked with world champion Ricky Hatton, said that the new premises would become renowned throughout Britain.
He is helping to supply some of the gear and to promote the project. It is being sponsored by Future Finance Group.
