The Anna 2 charter boat – skippered by Islander Tony Heart – had to be towed back to the Harbour two weeks ago after it became entangled in more than 20 ft of nets dumped by a trawler.
The boat suffered severe damage to its propeller and other areas and is likely to be out of the water for at least two weeks.
Mr Heart is now calling for a change in regulations to force trawlermen to mark their nets.
