Deputy James Reed says the ongoing consultation process – which includes a set of public meetings starting in a fortnight – is doing a good job of setting out what changes might be necessary.

His comments come after the consultation was criticised for not tackling the major issues of the selective intake to Hautlieu and the balance between States and fee-paying schools.

In a statement released yesterday, Deputy Reed said: ‘This is a genuine consultation and it has been welcomed by the focus groups we have worked with and the people who have responded so far.’
