The Royal Court decided to halt proceedings in Jersey after Mr Weston and fellow defendant Melvyn Levi successfully argued the proper jurisdiction for the proceedings was England.
However, it is not a result welcomed by Leeds, whose chairman is Ken Bates.
The football club’s lawyer, Advocate Philip Sinel, said his client was ‘perturbed’ by the outcome and would now be considering its next course of action.
The court case related back to events that happened as far back as seven years ago when Leeds was under different ownership.
