Save Senators plea reaches Privy Council
THE last-ditch effort to stop the removal of four Senatorial seats reached the Privy Council today as campaigner Lyndon Farnham presented a petition urging the UK not to ratify the move.
The former Deputy flew to London this morning to deliver a petition to the Queen's advisory panel asking them not to approve the States decision to cut two Senatorial seats in the October election, and two at the next election in three years' time.
That move has been timed to coincide with Deputy Carolyn Labey taking a proposition to the States to reverse the axing of the seats.
