Near perfect track and weather conditions were awaiting entrants and a large crowd of spectators who turned up for the opening event.
Clearly in good form, with three first places on the new course, at Sorel Point was Le Breton who won the featured event.
Runner up was Mark Birrell, back riding competitively again after a break of a few years, and third was Mike Norman.
